Curious? Start Here
1. What can I expect in the first session?
A gentle, no-pressure conversation where we get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy, and begin creating a safe space for healing.
2. Do you work with children, teens, or adults?
Yes! I work with neurodivergent individuals ages 9 to 65, as well as families and parents seeking guidance.
3. What issues do you help with?
I specialize in trauma, generational trauma, life transitions, parenting struggles, neurodivergence, and relationship challenges.
4. What kind of therapy do you offer?
My work is mind-body based. I use Somatic Experiencing®, Polyvagal Theory, IFS, ACT, EFT, and mindfulness to support healing on both emotional and nervous system levels.
5. What if I don’t know exactly what I need help with?
That’s okay. Many people come to therapy unsure where to begin. We’ll explore it together at your pace.
6. How long will therapy take?
Everyone’s journey is different. Some clients come for short-term support, while others benefit from longer, ongoing work. We’ll check in regularly about your goals and progress.
7. Is therapy confidential?
Yes, everything you share is private. However, there are a few legal exceptions in California:
– If there’s a risk of serious harm to yourself or others
– If there’s suspected child, elder, or dependent adult abuse
– If a court orders the release of records
I’ll always explain these limits clearly and answer any questions you may have.
8. Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
I offer online sessions.
9. Do you take insurance or offer a sliding scale?
I do take Aetna and Cigna insurance, and I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots. Let’s talk and see what’s possible.
10. How do I get started?
Just reach out through my Contact Form or email me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll go from there.
